Cultural Conversations at the Center: A Community Discussion on Art and Activism
Broward County African American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC) presents a town hall discussion inviting artists, art leaders, activists and community members to discuss the importance of art as a tool to engage hearts and minds around social justice issues impacting our local community and our world. During this engaging event, AARLCC will introduce the five selected artists in residence for the AARLCC’s Art and Activism Residency.

This residency will create space for #BlackArt & #BlackActivism to address important issues impacting our community through the lens of: Economic Justice, Environmental Justice, Criminal and Health Care Reform, Racial Justice, and Gender and Sexuality Equity.

AARLCC’s Art and Activism Residency was made possible through the support of Community Foundation of Broward following funds: The Robert Elmore Family Fund, Maxine Powers Hofert Fund, Peter J. and Mary C.
