Human Rights Act - Upskilling Session for advocacy and campaigning groups, third and voluntary sector organisations.

On 13th January 2021, following the Conservative party’s manifesto commitment to update the Human Rights Act, the Government’s Independent Review Panel published its consultation questions. This Review is looking at how the Human Rights Act (HRA) is working in practice and whether any change is needed.

Join this session led by the British Institute of Human Rights for advocacy and campaigning groups, third and voluntary sector organisations if you'd like to upskill yourself on our HRA and how it works for people in everyday interactions with public services and bodies. Refreshing your knowledge of the HRA could support you or your organisation to respond to the Review or to campaign more broadly to protect our HRA. During the session you can also share your experiences with BIHR which will help shape our response to the Review, protecting our human rights here at home.
