:: About our speaker ::

Dr. Azher Ashraf graduated from Cambridge University and University College London in 2008. He spent his initial medical years in Oxford and then Australia, before embarking on Anaesthetic training in the UK. In doing so, he worked at many prestigious hospitals including the John Radcliffe, UCLH, St. Bartholomew’s, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital and King’s College Hospital, where he is shortly due to take up a Consultant Anaesthetist post.

Azher has a passion for the safe and effective delivery of conscious sedation in the dental setting. He is a Partner at Sedation Solutions, a leading provider of advanced conscious sedation, working with over 2000 clinics in the UK.

Azher enjoys teaching. He is the Programme Director for the Post Graduate Certificate in dental sedation and pain management at UCL Eastman Dental Institute. He serves on Council at the Association of Dental Anaesthetists and takes an active interest in sedation related research, having designed his own sedation scale, currently undergoing validation research.
