Jonathan Ames, author of A MAN NAMED DOLL, in conversation with Doug Gordon - a virtual Boswell Thrillwaukee event
The Boswell Thrillwaukee series presents an evening with Jonathan Ames, author of I Pass Like Night, The Extra Man, and creator of the HBO series Bored to Death. His latest is A MAN NAMED DOLL, a deliciously noir novel about idiosyncratic private detective Happy Doll and his quest to help a dying friend in a sun-blinded Los Angeles.
Everybody loves DOLL, with raves from Lee Child, Megan Abbott, and Lou Berney. Boswell's Chris Lee says that Ame's mystery is "The kind of book that reminds me why I fell in love with detective novels." This event is cosponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio.
For this event, Ames will be in conversation with Doug Gordon, host of Wisconsin Public Radio's Beta. Pre-order your copy of A Man Named Doll at https://www.boswellbooks.com/book/9780316703659 .
