Chabad at Union invites you to join us on Thursday, May 14 at 5:30 pm EST via Zoom for a talk with Dr. Edith Eger. Known as the "Ballerina of Auschwitz," internationally acclaimed psychologist & author of bestselling book, "The Choice: Embrace the Possible," Dr. Edith Eger is one of the last remaining Holocaust survivors.
She will tell her unforgettable story in this moving testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of choice in our lives.
Professor Berk will share his thoughts at the beginning of the talk, as well.
This special talk is co-sponsored by the Union Multifaith Council, History Department, and Religious Studies Department.
“I’ll be forever changed by her story. It’s a reminder of what courage looks like in the worst of times. And that ‘We all have the ability to pay attention to what we’ve lost, or to pay attention to what we still have."
“The Choice is a gift to humanity. One of those rare and eternal stories that you don’t want to end and that leave you forever changed. Dr. Eger’s life reveals our capacity to transcend even the greatest of horrors and to use that suffering for the benefit of others."
