Elaine Johnson from Three Rivers District Council and freelance artist, Anna Schofield, will provide an overview of social prescribing - what it is, how it works and examples of work in Hertfordshire. There will also be a case study presented by Bisakha Sarker from Chaturangan Dance Company going through their experience of working on a social prescribing project in Merseyside with Creative Alternative.
This webinar is the first of a six-part series that takes a look at how the dance sector in Hertfordshire can increase access to dance provision for more members of our local communities. It offers professional development for practitioners, potential audience development for dance businesses and places greater value on the social impact of dance.
#TAG is a Hertfordshire based project that aims to celebrate the Hertfordshire Year of Culture 2020 by commissioning a programme of seven intergenerational dance projects with professional artists, working with communities in the districts of Dacorum, Watford and Three Rivers. Funded by Arts Council England.
