The National Park Service (NPS) and the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) are joining forces to host a Power of Parks for Health Roundtable on Wednesday, May 26 from 6:30-8:00 pm EDT, to highlight stories and experiences of individuals who identify with Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.
Join us as we engage NPS staff, national community leaders, and our audience in a discussion that:
• addresses the impact of present and historical barriers to outdoor access for AAPI communities
• recognizes leaders and current opportunities for strengthening community relationships, furthering education, and inspiring connections to nature for AAPI communities
• identifies strategies to empower future health connections to parks and public lands
• highlights approaches to increase visibility, representation, and relevancy of AAPI communities in the outdoors
