John Gallas is the author of twenty-six books, mostly with Carcanet. He is a Fellow of the English Association, St Magnus Orkney Festival Poet, Saxonship Project Poet, translator, librettist, tramper, biker and Fox. Forthcoming books: Amado Nervo: Poems of Faith and Doubt (SLG Press, Oxford; translation), Petrus Borel: Rhapsodies 1832 (Carcanet; translation), The Alphabet of Ugly Animals (Cerasus Publishing), and The Short Afters of Noah Claypole (Gerolstein Press).
Belinda Rimmer has worked as a psychiatric nurse, school counsellor, and lecturer. In 2007 she completed her PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University, on Women’s Voices in Contemporary Poetry, and came away wanting to discover her own. Her first pamphlet, Touching Sharks in Monaco, was a winner of the 2018 Indigo First Pamphlet Competition. In the same year, she came second in the Ambit Poetry Competition. She was also a joint runner-up in the 2019 Stanza Poetry Competition. A pamphlet on the life and work of Tillie Olsen if forthcoming.
