Dallas Habitat was proud to re-launch the Women Build program in 2020. This highly successful
effort was organized in partnership with a committee of compassionate women and generous sponsors
determined to assist other women on their journey to financial stability through affordable homeownership.
Seeing that 69% of Habitat clients are women single head of household, we determined in partnership
with our Women Build Committee that this was an important and ongoing conversation. As a part of
the re-launch, Women Build Dallas developed a series of curated conversations and events to raise
funds and awareness for the Women Build Initiative. The Panel Discussion: “How to be a Change
Maker in your Community” was one of those events.
This year, as a part of the Women Build Dallas Initiative, we will once again gather a panel of strong
women leaders to share their thoughts on how each of us can influence positive change in our own
communities. These panelists will address the challenges we face as we seek to make a difference,
and address the importance of mentoring others along the way. We will discuss the impact that small
actions, taken in a manageable fashion, can achieve significant results. Finally, we will share with
you how to get involved with the Habitat Women Build Dallas Initiative as we seek to provide safe,
decent, affordable homes for Dallas families.
