Bicycle Implementations on East 28th Avenue (El Camino real to S. Delaware Street) - Community Feedback
As part of the City of San Mateo and Caltrain's 25th Grade Separation Project, project members are actively assessing improvements for bike safety implementation on E. 28th Avenue between El Camino Real and S. Delaware Street.

By early June 2021, the project will add new shared roadway markings (sharrows) for bicyclists on 28th Avenue from El Camino Real to S. Delaware Street while the City continues to work to align this segment with the Bicycle Master Plan-designated Class I bike facility planned for the northern sidewalk.

In keeping with this project’s goal of improving safety for all, we invite community members to this meeting to hear our plans for the implementation of a Class I shared-use path (a two-way facility that is physically separated from motor vehicle traffic). We welcome feedback on our plans and look forward to hearing from our community.
