BS 7909 A - A foundation studies. Basic Electrical Theory for Temporary Electrical Installations for Events
This training course will be delivered through a couple of webinars delivered in the evening on 15th and 16th March 2021 from 6.30 pm till 9.30 pm.

This course is intended to ensure that candidates have at least a basic knowledge of electrical principles relating to temporary electrical systems.

Upon completion, candidates should progress to the ACES 7909-B course, for the Requirements of BS7909:2011.

Course content
Part 1: Principles of electric circuits, voltage, current and resistance.
Part 2: Principles of electric circuits, power and sizing cables and protection.
Part 3: Principles of earthing systems.
Part 4: Protection against electric shock
Part 5: Installation of appropriate equipment
Part 6: Assessment

This course is primarily aimed at those working on or having responsibility for temporary electrical installations in their many forms. From Persons Responsible to those installing systems, this course covers the basic electrical knowledge that would be expected as a minimum requirement for those involved with temporary electrical systems.

There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this course.
