Keizer Rapids Park is a nice natural area with nearly 120 acres of land. It is a particularly good bird watching area as it has gallery forest, the Willamette River, and open fields. Its many diversified habitats make it nice for birds including sparrows, finches, and towhees, but many other birds can be found here including waterfowl, raptors, woodpeckers, and creepers. Kingfishers and an occasional bald eagle can be seen near the river. 120 bird species have been observed in this park! We will discuss the best methods and approach to see all the birds this hotspot has to offer. We will also cover a few other hotspots including Willow Lake Water Treatment Plant, Country Glen Park and Spongs Landing County Park. This is a free webinar.
