AOC Virtual Information Series- Drinking Water
The Canadian Remedial Action Plan Implementation Committee (CRIC) will host a virtual information session on the multi-barrier approach to protecting the drinking water supply to the Wallaceburg and Walpole Island First Nation communities. During the presentation, an overview of the cultural importance of water to the local Indigenous communities living along the St. Clair River, the voluntary and legislated practices adopted by local industry to reduce risk of spills, and the municipal infrastructure upgrades that provide added protection will be shared. Community members will have the opportunity to engage and ask questions about the significant progress made in improving the aquatic environment of the St. Clair River over the past 30 years—all from the comfort of home.
