Itto Outini is a Fulbright alumni, journalist, researcher, novelist, translator, motivational speaker, non-profit volunteer, educator, and human rights advocate. She was born and raised in Morocco. Orphaned at an early age, Itto began school for the first time at the age of seventeen. Despite that she overcame poverty, homelessness, abuse, and neglect. She is the first blind Moroccan to learn 5 languages in the span of 6 years and has inspired students and faculty at the University of Arkansas and as a visiting speaker at many American universities. She achieved her goal of obtaining a master’s degree in journalism and is currently planning future career goals of sharing stories of adversity as told by others as well as those of her own through her writings and public speaking engagements. Itto currently enjoys life as an asylee in the United States hopes to change the world through journalism and public speaking.
