The pandemic has increased the number of nurses who practice across jurisdictions, whether through virtual care or in-person. As services can be provided as an employee or through self-employment, there are unique legal considerations related to a multi-jurisdictional practice to be aware of.

This webinar will look at licensing requirements, scope of practice considerations, privacy and custodianship considerations, virtual care and risk management.

Prior to joining CNPS, Teresa was Crown Counsel at Crown Law Office – Civil at the Ministry of the Attorney General, the province’s central litigation office.  In this role, Teresa represented government ministries and officials before all levels of Ontario court in various complex legal disputes, including class actions, personal injury, malicious prosecutions and commercial matters. Teresa holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Ottawa and obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor. In law school, Teresa worked at the Legal Assistance of Windsor as a student litigator and appeared before various tribunals. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
