The United Kingdom left the European Union on January 31, 2020. What is the current status of the UK-EU relationship? Are the EU regulations and Rulings of the European Court of Justice binding and applicable to the UK? How may the implementation of Brexit be affected by the result of the upcoming presidential election in the United States?
This panel will discuss the answer to these questions and the implications of the transition period that is in place until December 31, 2020. The perspectives of the United Kingdom and the European Union will be represented by attorneys licensed to practice in both areas. The discussions will cover future opportunities in trade, healthcare and education, as well as criminal, labor and regulatory law.
