Roundtable discussion on trends and opportunities in snowpack monitoring and forecasting
Understanding seasonal snowpack and Snow Water Equivalent (SWE’) before, and throughout winter is an emerging opportunity in water resource management, and increasingly of interest to energy, agriculture, extractive industries, real estate investors, future traders, insurers, lenders, and communities reliant on spring snowmelt.

Monitoring/forecasting snow is not new, but many of the traditional analog solutions are being shelved for innovative sensing and decision support software that enable business and society to see snowpack in much higher resolution.

After each featured participant introduces themselves, the group will engage in unscripted, but moderated, discussion about where we are today, and where things are heading over the coming years.

This discussion will be of interest to individuals operating at the intersection of climate, water, technology, policy, and investment.
