Facilitator Avi Feld describes “Cooking for Happiness” as a program for people who want easy homemade or semi-homemade comfort foods that can be prepared and put on the table quickly. He calls it “Food for the soul.” This season’s specialties include cran-apple crisp (October), pumpkin pie (November) and Latkes (December). He plans to provide the recipes for each session in advance so that recipes can be prepared together. 45 minutes to 1 Hour.
Bio: Avi Feld has been working for the Jewish Home Assisted Living since 2007 as a kosher supervisor. He has many years of experience working with high-end caterers throughout Bergen County. With that experience he created and implemented a unique culinary program geared to elders and their abilities, and encourages their creativity through food. He holds a B.S. in Marketing from Touro College and has obtained his CALA (Certified Assisted Living Administrator License).
