Great Books, Great Teaching
The reading and discussion of the very best books has long held a unique place in a Classical curriculum. We human beings make sense of the world through meaningful works of literature because such books provide us with the tools by which we may remind ourselves of what is true, good, and beautiful.

In this webinar, Josh Herring and Winston Brady will present an overview of the role that literature plays in a Classical education, how the Classical approach is better for students than modern methods of teaching and reading works of literature, and an overview of the Junior High and High School Literature program.

Josh Herring has taught at Thales Academy since 2013 and has written extensively on issues related to Classical education and the humanities. He is currently the Assistant Administrator at Thales Academy Apex and a doctoral candidate at Faulkner University.

Winston Brady has taught at Thales Academy since 2011, including many humanities subject in grades 6-12. He has an MBA from the University of North Carolina from Chapel Hill, serves as the Dean of Academics and is the Director of Thales Press, an in-house publishing firm that produces curricular materials for Thales Academy schools.
