He is married with three sons, one of whom has Asperger's autism. In 2012 after 35 years in communications, industrial energy conservation, and education Peter became a founder and now the CEO of Specialisterne Ireland, CLG, a social enterprise company, and registered charity Des Henry (Careers & Employment Co-ordinator @WALK) As a Careers & Employment Co-ordinator in WALK, Des leads the supported Employment programmes for the organisation. He brings his business, training, and employability experience to the issue of employment for people with disabilities. His vision is to facilitate young people with disabilities to overcome barriers by opening doors to employment and career opportunities, giving people more choices in life.
