Paddy Lynn Presents "Emily Dickinson, The Belle of Amherst"
Paddy Lynn started performing a cutting of William Luce’s beloved one-woman play, THE BELLE OF AMHERST, in 2004 when a friend of hers recommended she add it into her repertoire. Paddy loved it from the very first time she read it and has been performing it ever since. The play introduces us to this prolific and often misunderstood legend who composed more than 1,700 poems in her lifetime, and who continues to inspire many people today. Emily’s wit, charm, fears, and beliefs are shared in this enchanting play that helps shine a light on her life and her soul.
