Students with cerebral palsy sometimes do not have the ability to use speech to meet all of their communication requirements.
This workshop investigates Complex Communication Needs (CCN) and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to meet a student’s communication needs. The workshop will provide participants with insights to understand the learner with CCN and the role of AAC to enable their student’s autonomous communication. It has a focus on practical strategies to support teaching and learning, as well as enhancing peer-to-peer interactions.
This workshop is most appropriate for school staff and therapists who support students who are currently using a communication aid.
Free for all Victorian Government School Staff.
