Full arch restoration requires deep knowledge in multiple prosthetic concepts. The "Up-Down" planning approach is based on the understanding that it is critical to first utilize basic complete denture concepts to create a template of the correct position of the future teeth, and then place implants in the desired or possible position to support the future fixed restoration.
The "All on 6" approach is the most economic and practical way to ensure long-lasting restorations. One of the most important benefit of having 6 vs 4 implants is the fact that load distribution is better, and each implant needs to sustain less pressure. But there is another significant benefit: if one implant fails, the fix is simple and easy since the restoration can survive for many more years even with five implants.
The presentation will elaborate on these topics, and will discuss basic concepts related to the use of TMA abutments.
