COVID-19 has exposed and exacerbated inequities around the world. Marginalised students, who already had less access to sustained learning experiences led by well-supported educators, are in the worst position. But there is an opportunity in this moment; flexibility created through the cancellation of exams and suspension of required grades and seat hours. This panel sees a chance to reimagine what education could look, sound, and feel like when it is more equitable. This panel features experts who are working with leaders to help them lead with equity in the current moment, and with systems to identify and build better measures for the learning and life outcomes we care about.
Moderated by Jenny Anderson, Senior Education Reporter, this panel discussion will feature:
• Nancy Gutierrez, President & CEO, NYC Leadership Academy (USA)
• Joysy John, Director of Education, Nesta (UK)
• Roberta Malee Bassett, Global Lead for Tertiary Education, Education Global Practice, The World Bank (Switzerland)
• Liz Robinson, Co-Director, Big Education (UK)
