The purpose of this webinar is to provide Japanese companies with information regarding the impact of COVID-19 on the current immigration landscape. Topics to be covered include details of the recent Presidential Proclamation suspending the entry of certain L-1, H-1B, H-2B, and J-1 visa holders, including who is covered, how it impacts them, how it impacts their ability to travel, and who is exempted from the Proclamation; information regarding the limited visa processing options during continued Embassy/Consulate closures; and options to extend visa status from within the United States when travel is not possible.
About the Presenter:
Sachiyo Isoda Peterson is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office. She counsels and assists clients in the highly complex area of immigration, nationality, and employer sanctions (I-9) law. She focuses her practice on employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visas for her clients’ global workforces.
