SMPTE Pittsburgh December Meeting & Presentation
Wednesday 12/8/21 | 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM ET
Presented by Glenn Przyborski who was instrumental in the origins of 24P, to simulate the look & feel of motion picture film that had been transferred to video.
Glenn will use visuals to tell the story of how 24P began with his initial experiments in 1989 and how these led to his 1994 patents that have been licensed by Sony, Panasonic, Canon and other camera manufacturers. Glenn will discuss the timeline of key product introductions that changed our industry and virtually eliminated motion picture film.
Having directed & photographed TV commercials for the past 50 years, he’ll share some interesting experiences as a TV commercial director at Pittsburgh’s TPC (Television Production Center) as ad agency clients in the early 70’s demanded that video look more like “film”.
A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
This event will be a virtual presentation via Zoom Webinar.
OPEN TO SMPTE MEMBERS AND ALL INTERESTED PROFESSIONALS AND STUDENTS
