Chairs:
Prof. Johan Smitz
Prof. David Albertini
Prof. William Buckett

Speakers:
① Prof. Robert Gilchrist
The scientific basis of maturation techniques for oocytes from pre-dominant follicles
② Prof. Lan N Vuong
Today’s rationale for using IVM technology in the fertility clinic
③ Dr. Tuong M Ho
Performance of IVM in the clinical embryology laboratory

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1- The background physiology of immature oocyte-cumulus culture the principal physiological mechanisms in the follicle that drive oocyte growth and final maturation and the translation of this knowledge into clinical embryology
2- Its clinical indications, treatment optimisation, planning of the oocyte retrieval, the embryo replacement policy , the pregnancy and children’s health record, the methods that allow to obtain a substantial number of intact oocyte cumulus complexes (COC) for in-vitro culture
3- The clinical embryology culture aspects the different methods including pre-maturation IVM to guarantee a sufficient number of good quality embryos
