Coping with Change and Uncertainty
Dr. Bagnell addresses how the rapid change and uncertainty experienced in the COVID-19 pandemic can lead to normal feelings of fear and anxiety for children, teens, and adults. This presentation will provide an overview of how uncertainty and change affect us and the importance of self-care and coping strategies. Specific skills to help manage these stresses can help decrease anxiety, reduce burnout, improve self-confidence, and support kids in schools through the pandemic. From self-care to helpful ways to calm our brains, and the importance of social connection and humour, this presentation provides guidance in finding tools to help educators and students cope with these challenges.
