Jeffrey "Scott" Baum
VP Strategy & Growth @Elbit America
Prior to joining Elbit Systems of America, Mr. Baum served as the Principal Director, Office of Industrial Policy for the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment. In this role, he led multiple initiatives to ensure secure and innovative capabilities for both current and future warfighting requirements. Previously, Mr. Baum held leadership and program management positions in the U.S. Air Force and Navy. A Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, he has had operational experience in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, China, and Tanzania and has received numerous commendations for his service, including the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and Joint Commendation Service Medal, among others. Mr. Baum earned a Master’s Degree in Strategy and National Resourcing from the National Defense University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from Texas Christian University.
Joel Friederich
VP, C4i & Homeland Security Solutions @Elbit America
Mr. Friederich has more than 30 years of experience in the aerospace, defense and homeland security industries. In his current role, he is responsible for the strategic and operational direction in the key areas of Public Safety, Homeland Security and C4ISystems and Solutions. Friederich leads the Integrated Fixed Towers Program. Elbit America has installed and connected Command and Control Centers to 55 fixed towers along the Southern Arizona Border, providing U.S. Customs and Border Protection 24/7 surveillance across 2,000 square miles. Friederich was the President of Talla-Com Industries when it was acquired by Elbit Systems in 2006 and oversaw the integration of Talla-Com into the Elbit Systems of America organization. He also served in the 1st Special Operations Wing of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Friederich earned a Master of Business Administration from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
