For our second Biomimicry Fireside Chat, we'll be joined by special guests Prof. and Researcher, Jeffrey Karp and Director of AskNature.org, Alexandra Ralevski.
Join us Thursday, June 18 at 1pm MT to explore how to use biomimicry to solve problems, address some of the challenges experienced in looking to nature for solutions, and how to overcome them. We’ll take some examples specifically from the medical industry, but focus on the biomimicry process which transcends industries.

Jeffrey Karp is a Professor of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School and is a master problem solver. He holds over 100 patents and has launched ten companies with >$400 million in funding that have generated several products currently under development and on the market.
Alexandra Ralevski
Science Director @Biomimicry Institute
Alexandra Ralevski is the Science Director at the Biomimicry Institute. Her love for biology and passion for design thinking drives her to educate the public on the creative potential of nature and its applications. Prior to joining the Institute, she was engaged in translational research in plant biology and neuroscience as a postdoctoral associate at Yale University. She discovered biomimicry during her research and became passionate about using nature-inspired design to solve sustainability challenges in academia and industry.
