Dr. Thomas Arend is a passionate entrepreneur and experienced international product leader with expertise in User Experience (UX) and Localization. A creative thinker and successful team facilitator, he has enjoyed a global career with over 20 years of experience in the IT business at Facebook, Airbnb, Twitter, Google, Mozilla, SAP, IBM and numerous international start-ups. Thomas is currently a Senior Product Director at Johnson & Johnson where he leads a team to re-imagine how health and well-care are accessed, delivered, managed, and experienced at scale. Having spent his professional career based in Europe and the US, Thomas has enjoyed global assignments involving concept development and execution. He is a recognized public speaker, guest professor and executive product advisor at Singularity University. He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Human-Computer Interaction from TU Berlin.
Karina R. Jensen
Founder and Executive Director @Global Minds Network
Dr. Karina R. Jensen is the Founder and Executive Director of Global Minds Network, an international advisory specializing in global innovation readiness solutions. She is also Practice Director at the Centre for Leadership and Effective Organisations and a Professor of Global Innovation and Leadership at NEOMA Business School in France. An international management consultant, change facilitator, and educator with 20+ years of experience, she has launched global initiatives and facilitated team collaboration for numerous international organizations. Through research with 200+ leaders at 45 multinational firms, her book Leading Global Innovation presents a framework for leaders and teams in facilitating global innovation and multicultural collaboration.
