This event will feature a conversation with Kathryn Kosuda, Co-Founder and CSO of Vaxess Technologies and Dr. Patricia Curry of Toxikon.
With a background in chemistry and nanomaterials, Kathryn Kosuda has focused on the translation of academic research breakthroughs into impactful products, working across disciplines of biology, chemistry, and engineering. Prior to co-founding Vaxess, Kathryn was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology at Harvard. Kathryn began her career in research and development at Merck. She holds a BA in chemistry from Colby College and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Northwestern University.
Dr. Patricia Curry has been involved in medical device safety testing for over a decade and joined the team at Toxikon six years ago. She earned her B.S in Microbiology in 2008 and completed her doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Nutrition with a cognate in Comparative and Experimental Medicine from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2014. Dr. Curry has advised on hundreds of safety testing strategies in successful medical device submissions during her tenure at Toxikon. She uses her extensive knowledge of biology, medicine, and regulatory guidance to ensure medical devices are tested to the highest standard of safety.
