This workshop will focus on the art of playwriting and adaptation, developing an original story fit for the stage, and crafting a story from source material. We will be looking at a couple typical playwriting formats.
Topics will include length, story structure, traditional story telling, the importance of conflict, and the decision making of adapting source material.
Author and playwright, Christopher Goodrum, will instruct the workshop. With a dozen published books and original plays performed on the stage, Goodrum brings experience and insight not only as a writer, but as an actor and director, as well.
