IFRS for SMEs ASEAN Outreach on the Proposed Update to the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard

The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) of the IFRS Foundation has published an Exposure Draft with proposals to update the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard to reflect improvements made to full IFRS Accounting Standards, while keeping the Standard suitable for small and medium-sized entities.

The ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) together with IASB and ACCA are organising a regional outreach to facilitate discussion between IASB and select representatives of Professional Accountancy Organisations and standard-setting bodies of jurisdictions in ASEAN. It aims to provide a platform for ASEAN stakeholders to engage IASB and share preliminary feedback to the proposed updates.
