As head of Home Lending, Fercho oversees one of the nation’s leading combined home lenders and servicers, funding one of every twelve loans and servicing one of every eight loans in the country. In her role, Fercho leads a team of more than 25,000 mortgage professionals in sales, operations, servicing, capital markets, portfolio management, and related business, risk management, and supporting functions. Gwen Garnett (Program Director @Center for Financial Advancement) Gwendolyn Garnett is the co-founder and CEO of TAPESTRY, a multicultural strategy, community and corporate initiatives coaching and organizational development firm. She also owns Mamalu Travel. Gwen retired from Bank of America in 2005 after 24 years where she served as the Neighborhood Lending executive for the Consumer Real Estate division. In that capacity, she was responsible for driving multicultural and low-to-moderate income lending sales, education and counseling across the country. She also served as the Consumer Real Estate Multicultural executive, National Loan Center executive, Technology & Operations Division Executive, and held many other diverse leadership roles in the company. Antoine Thompson (National Executive Director @NAREB) A staunch advocate for the people and small business, Antoine began his career in public service as a Legislative Assistant for the Buffalo Common Council Central Staff. There he conducted legislative research and presented recommendations for Affirmative Action policies and minority business development. He was later appointed Executive Director of the Office of Urban Initiatives, Inc. (OUI) an economic development corporation focused on minority and women-owned business development and various urban policy issues. In April 2015 Antoine M. Thompson became the Executive Director of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) the largest organization of African-American real estate professionals in the United States. Thompson is committed to growing NAREB’s advocacy and member across the country. Antoine is a staunch champion of fair-housing and community re-investment by local and national financial institutions.
