Have you ever wanted to audition for a school, community or regional theatre production but didn’t know how to prepare? Then this workshop is for you. It will help you plan, prepare and present your next audition successfully (No guarantee of casting, just really good preparation.)
First, we’ll cover the basics for choosing monologues and songs appropriate to audition, what directors are looking for and how to find the audition/show/part that is right for you. We will also address how to develop a theatrical resume and headshot.
Then you will learn tips/tricks to memorizing songs/monologues and how to develop character for your audition presentation.
Finally, you will learn how to present in front of casting directors, how to slate and best practices in the audition room.
