Nan Sterman

Nan Sterman is passionate about plants. With degrees in botany, biology, and education, she channeled her passion into a career as an award-winning journalist. Nan spends much of her time delivering her depth of knowledge on waterwise landscaping on various digital media platforms as well as in person. She is a longtime proponent of drip irrigation and installed her first drip system in her own garden in 1986. Nan has honed her knowledge and provides easy tips and advice that anyone can apply to their gardens, making it possible for all to have a beautiful garden. You may recall Nan from her Emmy award-winning TV show, A Growing Passion, which aired on public television in San Diego and is now online at AGrowingPassion.com. Nan lives in Encinitas, California, where she speaks, teaches, and writes about low-water, sustainable, and edible gardening, and designs landscapes for client’s homes and public spaces.
