Addressing the challenges of employees’ mental health has been an increasing concern for employers, health care providers, and insurers. But the rampage of COVID-19 has brought more attention to the extensive impacts of untreated mental illness.
As we pass the one year mark of work and school from home, social isolation and struggles with COVID-19 continue to deeply impact all of our lives. Vulnerable populations, such as those with comorbidity and essential workers, are particularly at-risk.
How do employers help employees get the therapeutic care they need? How are health care workers, often the people who are most impacted in their personal lives by COVID-19, dealing with stress and PTSD? How are substance abuse issues that may result from these factors being addressed by various organizations? To what degree are health insurers changing their policies on mental health coverage?
Finally, how can we move beyond the stigma of mental health issues to provide the much needed treatment?
Join NRBP to hear an important conversation with leaders who are working to expand the options for therapeutic care.
