The Redwood Forest Foundation is excited to present our 2021 Annual Meeting.
Our keynote speaker this year will be Dr. Frank Kanawha Lake, an innovative US Forest Service scientist and researcher in the field of wildland fires, fire ecology, climate change, and traditional ecological knowledge. Growing up among the Yurok and Karuk tribes, Frank gained a unique vantage on the stewardship of natural resources, and he has brought that understanding into his work with the Forest Service. His expertise lies directly at the intersection of cutting-edge science and millenia-old traditional wisdom. As such, we are beyond excited to feature his unique perspective.
There will also be presentations from Board Chair Kathy Moxon, Chief Forester Linwood Gill, and Staff Biologist Karen Youngblood. These key team members will discuss the state of the Usal Redwood Forest including watercourse restoration projects, managing for wildfires, and climate change. Our team will also turn an eye towards the future, including upcoming projects and opportunities.
