When They See Us Vote - The Fight Ahead

On February 1st, join us for an urgent conversation about what lies ahead in the aftermath of the recent elections and the Capitol insurrection. This is the second installment in a series of conversations with Bree Newsome Bass and Natalie Bullock Brown as part of the When They See Us Vote political education series. The discussion will revolve around the limits of Black representation, and the impulse to trust Black faces without interrogating ideology and policy. In a post-Obama culture where many politicians, celebrities, and other “community leaders” purport to represent the interests and well being of Black people, it’s imperative for us to move away from relying on figureheads and realize our collective power.
