GeoPro Talks - Roadside Vegetation Naturalization Pilot Project in Calgary, Alberta

A three year roadside vegetation naturalization pilot project was initiated in Calgary in 2021 to demonstrate proof of concept for using an alternative landscaping treatment to replace the manicured turfgrass with mixes of wildflowers and native grasses to enhanced pollinator habitat and increased resilience to a changing climate. This talk will review the results from the first 2 years of the project and discuss the learnings to date.
