AMANZI [WATER] FOR FOOD - LAUNCH OF AN ON-LINE, OPEN ACCESS TRAINING OF TRAINERS COURSE AND AGRICULTURAL WATER #STUDENT CHALLENGE
The Water Research Commission and the Amanzi for Food Social Learning Project invite you to join this Webinar in which we will share experience from the Amanzi for Food Social Learning Programme. The Programme focused on knowledge activation and dissemination amongst rural farmers to address their water knowledge needs. It also worked with Agricultural Colleges, Universities and Training Institutes to integrate knowledge of rainwater harvesting and conservation practices into the curricula, facilitating a farmer-centred approach to curriculum development that is inclusive of South Africa’s small holder farmers and household food producers. An On-line, Open Access could has been designed to support such learning, amongst farmers, extension officers and students who are in training to become agricultural experts in South Africa. It is essential to learn more about the many rainwater harvesting and conservation practices that can be tried out by farmers
