Heather Nowak
SA Mental Health Commissioner, Consumer Advocate and Lecturer Cert IV in Mental Health Peer Work
Heather has been a consumer of mental health services during the past 37 years, Heather has experienced many of the difficulties faced by consumers residing in both metropolitan and particularly regional areas. Heather is currently employed at TAFE SA as the coordinating Lecturer Cert IV Mental Peer Work and SA Mental Health Commissioner. Heather has gained extensive experience in the peer role and has gained valuable knowledge around some of the issues and challenges that workers face.
