Children, teens and adults are living among high levels of stress and fear given the COVID-19 pandemic. This has caused shifts in the way in which children are learning, along with changes in school activities, family life and social relationships. For grieving families, these feelings may be compounded by their loss. This webinar will introduce mindfulness meditation and movement as calming techniques in working with grieving families. The presentation will be experiential in nature, allowing participants to practice techniques that they might then offer in their bereavement groups. Mindfulness meditation can help develop self-awareness along with enhancing one’s understanding of the incorporation of social, physical, mental, and emotional health. Participants will walk away from this presentation with tools to implement immediately into their own groups.
