Description
Join us for the 2022 NAIOP Colorado Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Webinar Series to gain a better understanding of the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as learn how you can help promote a sense of belonging in your organization or community.
This 3-part webinar series will offer attendees a professional, welcome, and safe environment to discuss DEI issues.
Wednesday, July 6, 2022; 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM MDT
Session 2: Diversity Is Not Just Black and White
With an increasingly diverse population in our workplaces and communities, the concept of diversity must become increasingly expansive. We’re not only talking about only race here, but the diversities among us to include: religion, gender, sexual orientation, education, income, height, weight and more. Learn how minimizing any of these definers can be a disservice to your organization’s diversity program.
Attendees will also gain a better understanding of bias and learn how both implicit and explicit bias affects the workplace.
Blue Sky vs Green Sky…a Story of Multiple Truths – “There are multiple perspectives and versions of the truth. Interpreting them wisely is our responsibility.” Tamara J. Erickson
