These 30-minute sessions are for all levels of mobility, and provide the same benefits and “do no harm” practice as our on the mat yoga class. Similarly, we emphasize four key themes: Presence, Empowerment, Resilience, and Mindfulness. This class can be taught in just about any comfortable and quiet space. All you need is a chair and an open mind!
This trauma-informed practice emphasizes four key themes: Experiencing the present moment (presence), exercising choice (empowerment), taking effective action (resilience), and creating internal rhythms and positive affirmations (mindfulness). The T.R.Y. method emphasizes choice for each to experience yoga at their pace to their preferred level (even if that means sitting still and breathing with the group and nothing more). You will leave this class with an overall feeling of wellbeing and take tools with you that you can use off the mat to reconnect with that feeling.
