Topic
International Community -- Global Impact of the Bill of Rights
Description
December 15 marks the 229th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights to the U.S. Constitution. December 10 marked the 72nd anniversary of the passage of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Both documents enshrine the right to expression and freedom of the press.
Join Sanford J. Ungar, director of the Georgetown University Free Speech Project as we discuss the influence the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights had -- and continues to have -- on press freedom issues around the world.
