Jay is the Senior Housing and Consumer Debt attorney with the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, Inc. where he has been mediating and litigating housing and consumer debt matters in Orange County for the past 9 years. Jay is recognized as a statewide expert in low-income housing and consumer debt issues. HIs legal work in housing during the pandemic has been recognized nationally and reported on by The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Center for Public Integrity in Washington, D.C., the Brennan Center at NYU School of Law, and NPR. Jay serves on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Public Interest Law Section (PILS) and as Chair of that section’s Homelessness Workgroup. He also serves on United Way’s veteran’s focused Mission United as a member of the Advisory Board and is Chair of the Mission United Legal Committee.
