Dr. Edmund Khoo
Webinar Moderator / Clinical Associate Professor Indiana University / COE & ADEA @Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis
Dr. Khoo is board-certified in orthodontics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He received his dental degree with Honors from the University of Western Australia and his specialty training in orthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Khoo is a part-time clinical associate professor at Indiana University School of Dentistry and the University of Rochester. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontic, serving on advisory boards and committees for the American Dental Education Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.Dr. Khoo actively publishes in multiple journals, including AJODO and JDR. He has been invited to chair and judge numerous scientific sessions. He is also a peer reviewer for PLOS One and sits on the editorial advisory board for Orthotown Magazine.
Dr. Rolf G. Behrents

Dr. Behrents received a B.A. from St. Olaf College, dental training at Meharry College, his ortho training and Master of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan. In 2001, he was awarded an honorary degree by the University of Athens in Greece. He has received several awards for research, authored articles pertaining to clinical orthodontics and facial growth, and has lectured across the US and abroad. Until retirement in 2018, he was the Lysle E. Johnston, Jr Prof. of Ortho & Director of the Ortho Program at St Louis University (SLU). Presently he teaches part-time at SLU. He continues to serve as a Research Associate at the Bolton-Brush Growth Study Center (Case Western). He is the Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the AJO-DO Clinical Companion since its inception in 2021.
Dr. Thikriat Al-Jewair

Dr. Thikriat Al-Jewair is Associate Professor, Director of the Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics and Assistant Dean for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Al-Jewair published over 70 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters and has been the recipient of multiple grants and awards including the AAOF Biomedical Research Award and Robert E. Binder Teaching Fellowship Award. Her research interests include adult and pediatric sleep-disordered breathing, automated mandibular movement monitoring, orthodontic treatment outcomes and evidence-based orthodontics. Dr. Al-Jewair has held leadership positions at the local, regional, and national levels including, president for the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research-Buffalo Section, examiner for the American Board of Orthodontics & chair-elect for the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Council of Advanced Education Programs.
Dr. Steven J Lindauer
Panel Member / Editor of The Angle Orthodontist / Professor / Dept Chair Orthodontics @Virginia Commonwealth University
Dr. Steven J. Lindauer is Paul Tucker Goad Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry, Virginia Commonwealth University and Editor of The Angle Orthodontist (since 2012). He attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, earning a D.M.D. in 1986, and a Master of Science in Dentistry as well as a certificate in the specialty of orthodontics in 1989. Upon graduation, Dr. Lindauer joined the faculty of Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Lindauer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is a past-president of the North Atlantic component of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, and is Executive Secretary of the Virginia Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation. Dr. Lindauer has published over 80 scientific research articles and book chapters and has lectured extensively around the world.
Dr. Monica Chenshuang Li
Panel Member / Assistant Professor / Co-Clinical Director of University of Pennsylvania @University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine
Dr. Li is an Assistant Professor, the co-clinical director, and the associate predoctoral program director in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She completed her Ph.D. training in Orthodontics at Peking University in collaboration with the UCLA Dental and Craniofacial Research Institute in 2016, and finished her orthodontic specialty training at UCLA in 2019. Her research primarily focuses on craniofacial bone and cartilage development and regeneration. Dr. Li has co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts, with more than 30 as the first author and/or corresponding author. She was awarded the 2015 AADR Bloc Travel Grant, the 2018 AAO First place winner of the Charley Schultz Resident Scholar Award, the 2019 AAO Thomas M. Graber Award of Special Merit, the 2021 ORS/ON Foundation Orthoregeneration Award, the 2021 IADR Innovation Award for Excellence in Orthodontics Research, and the 2021 AAO full-time faculty fellowship.
