This webinar will include actionable, pragmatic, and concrete ways to teach mindfulness and other self-regulation skills, build trust, and support adolescents and young adults with substance use disorders and related struggles (i.e., trauma, family conflict, impulsiveness, violence, etc.).

If you’re a substance abuse counselor, social worker, psychologist, therapist, educator, case manager, mentor, or really any type of professional who works directly with substance-use impacted youth, this webinar is for you.

Learning Objectives:

-Review a conceptual for mindfulness as an intervention for substance-use disorders
-Define mindfulness in concrete, applicable way
-Present pragmatic steps to teach formal mindfulness meditation and necessary adaptations for youth and addiction-impacted populations
-Demonstrate how to teach mindfulness informally outside of formal meditation
